CONVERSATION - THE WAY TO COMMUNITY

HOW WE TALK

You are probably here because you recognize the value of increasing the concept and strength of community through conversation. We believe this inexpensive tool will greatly increase the inner-communication between the members of your church or group.

Our church started, several years ago, trying to find a way to improve the way our members could meet and talk - that is communicate. We developed on two fronts. The first is described in a great book by one of our favorite authors, C. Christopher Smith. This book, his most recent, is available at this link to Amazon and at other sources:

How the Body of Christ Talks:
Recovering the Practice of Conversation in the Church

Concurrently we developed a system to allow our members to converse easily on the internet using simple email concepts, enhanced to meet the unique requirements we had - and for which I suspect you also have need. The HOWWETALK system is explained on the pages of this site. It is a shell around an indexed email system built on the Internet specific email structure.

HOWWETALK is overtly directed to the specific needs of churches seeking better ways to community - through improved communication.

Some people may have tried systems such as Facebook, Google boards, and other bulletin board type systems, to communicate. HOWWETALK offers direct and equal communication between all participants without any of the weaknesses of these alternates.

For additional comments, see:"How does this plan differ from simple email forwarding plans?" in the FAQs page.

This is a simple web site - no flash - no pretty displays - just an explanation of how we have been able to enhance the ability of all members to quickly and easily exchange ideas, news and just general thoughts with no dependency on any agency other than common email concepts. Our church has used this electronic communication system for over a decade as an addition to our many group conversation periods.

What you will see on the pages shown in the menu line at the top, is the system our church uses to allow mutual and easy conversation, via email, among all members in an organization - in our case a church of about 200 electronic conversationalists.

What you don't need:
no need to keep files of addresses -
no need to depend on others to initiate communication -
no need to wait till 'meeting time' to share an idea -
no need to wonder how to send to an individual or sets of individuals.

What you do need;
know how to send a simple email message
know the (generated) common name of your recipient (as: joe.jones)  or
the name of a group (as: Wednesday Group)

That's it!
